Response to Ballgame32

That's true that parents are capable of instilling bigotry into their children, but it's a cop out to only blame parental guidance.  My father was racist and used the 'n' word quite often, and initially I did too when I was too young to know better.  Luckily, I've always had a mind of my own and when I got older I realized that the things my father was teaching me were just wrong.  I broke the cycle and others can too.  Most people are not so hard-wired that they can only believe one way for the rest of their lives.  Blaming our up-bringing for our hatred of a group of people is a cop out of the worst kind and it's cowardly.  If someone is going to be a racist prick they should at least own it.

  1. Very true! But unfortunatley some people are unable to think for themselves, due to their inferior DNA(inbreeding), which results in the lack of common sense it takes to figure out that they shouldnt hate someone just because they have a different skin color than they do. If dumb, ignorant people continue to breed(which they obviously will), then there will always be hatred based on skin color. Not everyone has the mental capability to change how they think, obviously = )

  2. I can't completely dismiss your argument since there is a lot of truth to what you're saying, however if I believed that there was no way for people to change themselves for the better then what is the point in anything we do? If you dismiss all of those people as being dumb, ignorant, and inbred then you're saying that you condone their actions, or at least don't have the desire to help make a change. I might also add that you're compounding the problem by labeling them with sterotypes as well.

I don't pretend to know what the solution is, but I do believe that there is one and that one day we will find it. Until then I'm going to do my best to lead by example and fight for human rights. I mean, isn't that basically what all of this boils down to?

  3. For the most part, people are who they are...The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. Some people may change for the better, but to think everyone will change is unrealistic.

As Huey Lewis put it..."Keep on Dreaming of Living in a Perfect World"

Im too busy chillin...but I hope u do find the solution, cuz that would be kinda awesome and shizzle = )
